UPDATE: The “perfect” sports weekend is a go!
I have almost everything taken care of. I have my PIC (Ian), flights and tickets to everything except the Lions/Eagles game.
Very. Excite.

I have been on a quest the past few years to take a single weekend trip to Michigan and catch a UM football game, Lions game and Tigers game. The NFL schedule was just released and I had originally penciled in the weekend of Sept 24-26 as the only potential weekend. The Wolverines are playing Bowling Green on 9/25 and the Tigers play the Twins the 25th & 26th. Unfortunately, the Lions play an away game on 9/26.
Thanks to some keen eyes by my friend Ian, the dream is still alive!
Saturday 9/18 – Michigan vs UMASS
Sunday 9/19 – Lions vs Eagles
Monday 9/20 – Tigers vs Royals
The only question left is… who’s with me?!?
Now is the time to stop asking me for a key from MSDN people. Go buy a copy and start a Windows experience that truly lives up to the hype.

No seriously… go! Now!
Ok if you are still here, check out some helpful links:
I honestly don’t know why I started thinking about it this morning, but I suddenly really miss playing Euchre. Sure I could play online, but it’s not the same! Some of you reading this may wonder what Euchre even is and I pity you for that. Luckily, I have a little wikipedia action ready for you: here. I’ll give you a few moments to read up before you continue reading.
My buddy and former hardcore WoW raider Kyle (Nerv / Morphllng) has launched a new WoW ranking site: http://www.wow-ranks.com
Now before you try to rip into it as an unoriginal idea, read what he has to say. He is taking a complete look at characters and guilds instead of isolating PvP OR PvE prowess.
I have traditionally used Internet Explorer for quick FTP access at work and other PC’s. After the upgrade to IE7, however, I began to get annoyed that it wouldn’t open in Windows Explorer without an additional step (Click Page > Open FTP Site in Windows Explorer). It never really bothered me enough to find a way around it until a client began to use FTP for their program managers.
In Windows XP, it was as easy as finding the site listed in My Network Places and adding a shortcut to that on the desktop. In Vista and Windows 7, My Network Places is replaced by the Network and Sharing Center.
Yep, true story! I can’t believe how fast time flies sometimes. I haven’t posted an update since the end of July, but I am going to challenge myself to revisit the whole blogging thing.
So what have I been doing with my life the last 2 1/2 months? The only thing that comes to mind is really softball. Seriously — adult softball is the best
I played on a co-ed team over the summer and am currently playing in a men’s league on Tuesday nights. The rain has not cooperated nicely, so we have only played on two of the three scheduled nights. Starting on the 13th we have four triple headers in a row.
Other than that it has been business as usual. Hopefully I will be able to post some things up more consistently. I do plan on adding a post about something I came across at work today very shortly. Stay tuned!
Don’t be alarmed! I am just testing this WordPress app for BlackBerry. Thanks for clicking though
I am going to try and add a photo, but don’t know where it is going to show up… Apparently this app is still in beta and not as robust as the iPhone version…
I always try to tell people “I’m the nicest asshole you will ever meet” and try to live up to that every day. A co-worker just linked me a site that will allow me to take it to that next level. I present:
Let Me Google That For You (http://www.lmgtfy.com/) – “This is for all those people that find it more convenient to bother you with their question rather than google it for themselves”
Beware all ye faithful, I have a new weapon in my arsenal and I’m not afraid to use it.
I’m so used to just throwing tons of updates on FaceBook, so it’s weird to try and type a complete sentence. I know, I know… the Internet is dumbing us down.
I actually have wanted to blog extensively about the ‘joys’ of buying my first home, but that is going to require me to step back and take the emotion out of it (for now at least).
In the meantime, check out this article on wired. I have recently talked a friend into buying a big screen LCD tv. We were talking about purchasing a sound system, etc because I knew he would not be impressed by the sound. To make a long story short, he didn’t buy a sound system just yet. Enter – the article. My ‘savior’. I have been planning on saving for an upgrade to my Vizio 720p 37″ LCD. I must now wait (or find a killer deal on a sound system on Craigslist). We’ll see.
